Terms of Use

Dobany (dobany.com) is a small community where Chinese Christians read a little each day and pray for one another. By using the Dobany website or app, you agree to these terms.

Who can use it

Anyone can read the articles. Posting, responding and saying Amen need an account, and accounts are by invitation code only. Use a pen name and do not pretend to be someone else; you are responsible for what is posted from your account.

Zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post:

• harassment, attacks, threats or insults against anyone
• sexual, violent or hateful content
• ads, selling, or asking people for money or transfers
• false or misleading information, or pretending to be someone else

Reporting, blocking and what we do

Every post and response has a … button for reporting it. What you report is hidden from you right away. You can also block a person, and you will no longer see their posts or responses.

An admin handles every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that posted it is banned.

What you write

Your posts and responses are yours. You allow Dobany to show them on the website and in the app, and to translate them (into Traditional Chinese and English) for other readers. You can edit your posts at any time, and you can delete your account.

Speakers' articles

The copyright of speakers' articles stays with the speakers. Sharing links is welcome; to republish a whole article, ask the speaker first.

No warranty

Dobany is provided as it is; it may have errors or be unavailable at times. What people share here is from brothers and sisters, not medical, legal or psychological advice.
