Privacy Policy

Dobany keeps only what the community needs to work, and nothing more.

What we store

• the username you sign in with, and the display name you set
• your password, stored only as a hash: no one can see the password itself
• the photo you upload
• your posts, your responses and your Amens
• your reports and the people you block: only admins see reports, and only you know whom you blocked
• a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for 90 days, and a language cookie that remembers your language

What we do not collect

We do not ask for an email address or a phone number. There are no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics. We do not sell or share your information.

Translation

Public posts and responses are translated into English with AI by the people who run the site, for English readers. Traditional Chinese is converted automatically.

Where it is stored

The server is in Canada (AWS ca-central-1).

Delete account

Sign in and open Me (tap your photo); Delete account is at the bottom. After you confirm with your password, your posts, responses, Amens and photo are removed from the site at once and cannot be restored. Server backup copies are cleared automatically within 30 days.
